Title: [Treatment of macroscopic hematuria complicating renal biopsy by embolization of a branch of the renal artery]. Author: Golán L, Horejs J, Knotková V, Nĕmecek K. Journal: Vnitr Lek; 1994 Jan; 40(1):36-9. PubMed ID: 8140749. Abstract: The authors describe a case of recurrent macroscopic haematuria which developed after renal biopsy in a young patient with IgA dominant focal and segmental mesangioproliferative glomerulonephritis. As conservative treatment was not successful, renal angiography was performed which revealed a false aneurysm of the segmental branch of the renal artery at the site of the assumed puncture. After selective embolization with gelaspon granules macroscopic haematuria receded quickly.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
