  • Title: [The role of Chlamydia trachomatis in tubal sterility].
    Author: Karadzhova R, Borisov I, Neĭkova V, Tsoneva V.
Journal: Akush Ginekol (Sofiia); 1993; 32(1):21-2. PubMed ID: 8172339.
    Abstract:
The authors carried out a study, examining for chlamydial infection 84 women with tubal infertility and 67 women with non-tubal infertility. The data were analyzed and compared with a group of 45 women with normal intrauterine pregnancy, who were also examined for chlamydial infection. The results observed in the study confirmed the notion that tubal infertility might be due to a sexually transmitted infection with Chlamydia trachomatis.
