Title: [A comparison of lymphocyte stimulation test results and challenge test results in 19 cases of antituberculous drug-induced allergy]. Author: Miyazawa T, Doi M, Mineshita M, Kurata T, Kitaguchi S, Furukawa N. Journal: Nihon Kyobu Shikkan Gakkai Zasshi; 1993 Aug; 31(8):920-3. PubMed ID: 8230888. Abstract: We clinically investigated 19 cases of antituberculous drug-induced allergy. The results of the challenge tests were positive in 30 out of the 55 drugs tested. The results of the lymphocyte stimulation tests were positive in 19 out of the 55 drugs tested. In 84.2% of the cases with positive lymphocyte stimulation test findings, the challenge test was also positive. It can be concluded from these results that the lymphocyte stimulation test may be useful in the detection of the causes of drug induced allergies in patients undergoing drug therapy for tuberculosis.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
