Abstract: The ultrasonic detection of fetal anomalies may well be the most challenging aspect of diagnostic ultrasound and, because ultrasonic clues to a chromosomal anomaly may be subtle, much depends on high quality ultrasound. Although difficult, the field is exciting and rewarding.
