Title: [Experience with extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy in children]. Author: Fukushima S, Moriyama M, Miyamoto H. Journal: Hinyokika Kiyo; 1993 Jun; 39(6):507-9. PubMed ID: 8337975. Abstract: Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy treatment for calculi of the upper urinary tract was performed on 4 children between 6 and 13 years old. The patients were treated under general anesthesia with Lithostar. Good fragmentation was achieved in all cases. No undue side effects or complications were encountered in the cases. We conclude that extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy is a safe and effective method of treating renal and ureteral calculi in children.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
