Title: [Vulvovaginal mycoses-stort-term treatment with Econazole (author's transl)]. Author: Knüsel H. Journal: Geburtshilfe Frauenheilkd; 1977 Jan; 37(1):43-7. PubMed ID: 836459. Abstract: The short-term treatment (3 days) of mycologically demonstrated vulvovaginal candidiasis with econazole vaginal suppositories 150 mg was tested in a population of 194 women. Substancial prerequisites for thorough and complete performance of the therapy are high cure rates (93,3%), prompt therapeutic results, minor burden for the patient and good tolerability. In view of the vital danger for the newborn provoked by candidiasis morbidity, this short-term therapy is also indicated for prenatal prophylaxis.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
