    Abstract:
    The effect of diltiazem on hemodynamic and external respiration was studied in 93 patients with coronary heart disease concurrent with chronic bronchitis. During a course diltiazem therapy there were positive changes in central and regional pulmonary circulatory parameters, improved external respiration and higher tolerance exercise. The combined therapy with diltiazem and essentiale in patients with profound ventilation disorders resulted in more clinical benefits than diltiazem used alone in equivalent doses.
