  • Title: [The pathogenetic characteristics of arterial hypertension in young patients (based on the data from acute peroral salt loading)].
    Author: Berezniakov IG.
Journal: Lik Sprava; 1993 Jan; (1):36-8. PubMed ID: 8379134.
    Abstract:
Acute peroral salt loads were carried out in 73 persons (age: 15-30 years). Results indicate the leading role of genetic influences in changes of the main parameters of the water-salt homeostasis in formation of the pathological background of hypertensive disease, especially at the first stages of the disease or in increased risk, i. e. in subjects with normal AP and heredity risk for hypertensive disease and in those with borderline arterial hypertension show an unstable regulation of the water-salt homeostasis with tendencies to sodium retention or its increased excretion. At the late stages advancing retention of sodium is dominant.
