    Abstract:
    The frequency and severity of residual phenomena after viral meningoencephalitis is to large degree determined by the premorbid background, etiology, severity of the acute period of the disease hospitalization terms. Among the residual phenomena functional disorders are more frequent while organic are rare and regress within 1.5-2 years. Complete cure of the patients should therefore be 1.5-2 years after discharge from the hospital.
