Title: [Treatment of intracranial saccular aneurysms by detachable balloon]. Author: Ma LT. Journal: Zhonghua Wai Ke Za Zhi; 1993 Jan; 31(1):26-8. PubMed ID: 8404338. Abstract: Eight cases of intracranial saccular aneurysm treated with detachable balloon were reported in this article. The aneurysms were located at ophthalmic artery (2 cases) anterior and posterior communicating artery (2 cases respectively), and basilar artery (2 cases). The detachable balloon was successfully put into the aneurysmal sac in 6 cases and obliterated the parent artery in another 2 cases. The material used to fill the balloon is made by our own hospital. All the cases were cured with the exception of 1 patient who had a contralateral hemiparesis. The indication of using detachable balloon and its technique were discussed in detail.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
