Title: IgG and IgA classes of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic autoantibodies in a 13-year-old girl with recurrent Henoch-Schonlein purpura. Author: Lin JJ, Stewart CL, Kaskel FJ, Fine RN. Journal: Pediatr Nephrol; 1993 Apr; 7(2):143-6. PubMed ID: 8476705. Abstract: We describe a 13-year-old girl with recurrent Henoch-Schonlein purpura whose symptoms were precipitated by upper respiratory tract infections. Her serum was positive for both IgG and IgA classes of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic autoantibodies by immunofluorescence. The titers of both autoantibodies correlated with disease activity. The immunopathology underlying these findings is discussed.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
