Title: [The merits of transaxillary aortography with a special catheter (author's transl)]. Author: Sörensen R, Holtz U. Journal: Radiologe; 1977 Mar; 17(3):136-9. PubMed ID: 850743. Abstract: 230 percutaneous transaxillary aortographies are described using a new type of catheter which simplifies the catherterization and diminishes complications. There is no difference between the complication rate of the transaxillary and the transfemoral techniques. The translumbal approach shows significantly more serious complications. Transaxillary rather than translumbal aortography seems to be the examination of choice in patients with bilateral femoral artery occlusive disease.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
