PubMed ID: 855129. Abstract: According to the author's findings gastric resection with gastro-jejunoduodenoplasty results in a great number of complication in operated patients. These data were obtained in the experiment on 30 dogs and examination of 14 patients clinically. In the early postoperative period there is the danger of occurrence of limited or total necrosis of the transplant, obturation or twisting with the resulting chronic or acute intestinal obstruction. In later terms peptic ulcers, the dumping-syndrome, deformation of the transplant with impairment of the digestive or motor-evacuative function of the stomach would arise.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
