Title: [Changes in the subcapital growth plate due to avascular necrosis after treatment for congenital hip dislocation in radiologic, tomographic and magnetic resonance examinations]. Author: Kruczyński J, Ziemiański A, Borkowski W. Journal: Chir Narzadow Ruchu Ortop Pol; 1995; 60(5):377-83. PubMed ID: 8565681. Abstract: The aim of this investigation was to compare magnetic resonance imaging and radiography in detecting subcapital growth plate changes due to avascular necrosis after treatment for congenital dislocation of the hip. MRI was done in 16 patients (21 hips) aged 8-12 (mean 10 years), treated because of CDH. Radiographs were also done in all cases. Comparison between these two imaging modalities revealed superiority of MRI in both imaging of normal subcapital physis and imaging of its disorders.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
