    Abstract:
    The significance of the presence of endocervical cells (EC) on the cytologic prediction of cervical epithelial abnormalities has been studied. The material consisted of 124 smears with correct cytological diagnosis of CIN, 80 with false-positive and 24 false-negative diagnosis. Influence of the presence of EC on the detection of CIN II, CIN III and Carcinoma have been stated.
