Title: [Paroxystic complications in vasculo-renal syndromes during pregnancy and puerperium at the CHU of Dakar]. Author: Traore Ndiaye A, Moreau JC, Diouf F, Faye EO, Sepou A, Bah MD, Diadhiou F. Journal: Dakar Med; 1994; 39(2):169-73. PubMed ID: 8654174. Abstract: In a comparative study issued in 1989 in Gynecology in Dantec (a Medical Hospital School) in Dakar (Senegal), the authors made a retrospective analysis of 206 cases of abruptio placenta (3.3%) and 56 cases of eclampsia (0.9%). After a physiopathologic overview of the vascular renal syndromes, they point out the risk factors of paroxistic accidents represented mainly by the age and the parity, knowing that young age and primiparity appear as new risk factors for abruptio placenta. Finally, they insisted on the prevention of these accidents because of their impact on fetal and maternal mortalities.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
