    Abstract:
    Interrupted and continuous sutures were used in formation of tracheo-tracheal anastomosis in 13 guinea pigs. Insoluble prolene thread served as suturing material. Histologically, at the site of interrupted sutures there were structural changes of the tracheal wall in the form of lacunar dissolving of the cartilage and large granulomas of foreign bodies around the knot. Cartilaginous layer at the site of the continuous suture remained unchanged.
