Title: [Modern therapy of osteogenic sarcoma in children. Our experience in limb salvage surgery]. Author: Woźniak W. Journal: Pediatr Pol; 1995 Nov; 70(11):959-63. PubMed ID: 8677163. Abstract: The author presents the contemporary multimodality treatment in osteosarcoma in children and adolescents, taking into account salvage surgery and less mutilating surgery. Between 1962 and 1994, 158 osteosarcoma and 105 Ewing's sarcoma patients were treated in The Research Institute of Mother and Child. In these population 60 less mutilating operations were done. The comprehensive therapy influenced positively the results causing the increase of cure rate from 4.5% to 75% in osteosarcoma and from 4.3% to 41.3% in Ewing's sarcoma patients.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
