Title: [The use of Dormicum in general anesthesia for oral surgery]. Author: Judit J, Attila F. Journal: Fogorv Sz; 1995 Dec; 88(12):399-403. PubMed ID: 8713942. Abstract: This paper reports on the use of Dormicum for anaesthetization in 385 oral surgical operations on patients older than 45 years. These patients included high proportions of heavy smokers and heavy drinkers. These habits not only play an important role in the development of the basic disease, but also lead to diseases of the heart, vascular system, lungs and liver. Dormicum was applied for premedication and to introduce and maintain anaesthesia. The changes occurring in the circulatory and respiratory parameters in response to the drug were not significant clinically. Dormicum is rated as an excellent agent for the anaesthetization of high-risk oral surgical patients.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
