    Abstract:
    After a six month-period, from January to July 1992, during the author's service in a general practice, the diagnosis of 1,060 consecutive patients seen at 1,613 consultations was reviewed with special reference to skin disease. Out of these patients 193 (18.2 percent) suffered from skin disease. Among these eczema and allergy (60 patients seen in 77 consultations), skin infections (23 patients seen in 24 consultations) and skin tumors (15 patients seen in 19 consultations) were encountered most frequently.
