Title: [A follow-up on the endometrial status of patients in the postmenopause taking hormonal replacement treatment]. Author: Georgiev D, Netsov V. Journal: Akush Ginekol (Sofiia); 1996; 35(1-2):29-30. PubMed ID: 8967535. Abstract: Endovaginal ultrasound could be a useful fool for follow-up of patients taking hormone replacement therapy. In the presented study a group of 140 postmenopausal women has been evaluated and in 10 patients the sonography disclosed endometrial thickness of more than 12 mm. Biopsy in the study group revealed three cases of endometrial hyperplasia and all they were in the patients with uterine lining thicker than 12 mm. In patients taking hormone replacement therapy endometrial thickness of more than 12 mm should be regarded as indication for D&C.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
