  • Title: [Effect of papaverine, kallikrein and salsoline on carbohydrate metabolism indices and catecholamine content in blood vessel walls].
    Author: Tishkin VS.
Journal: Farmakol Toksikol; 1977; 40(4):415-8. PubMed ID: 902740.
    Abstract:
In tests conducted with cats salsolin brings down considerably the catecholamines concentration in the vascular wall. Papaverine and kallicrein raise the level of epinephrine and reduce the concentration of norepinephrine. With its one-time administration papaverine promotes accumulation of pyruvate and citrate in tissues of the most vessels. Kallicrein forces down the level of lactate and appreciably increases the concentration of pyruvate in the vascular tissue.
