Title: [Colorectal ischemic necrosis following reconstructive surgery of the abdominal aorta. Report of 2 clinical cases]. Author: Tridico F, Panier Suffat P, Zan S, Rebecchi F, Contessa L. Journal: Minerva Chir; 1996 Sep; 51(9):739-43. PubMed ID: 9082242. Abstract: The authors report two cases of colorectal ischemic necrosis following surgical reconstruction of abdominal aorta. An intestinal resection according to Hartmann was performed in both cases. The value of prevention based on a careful anamnesis, on a precise angiography study of the abdominal aorta and of splanchnic circle in addition to inferior mesenteric artery reimplantation, when advisable, is underlined as the most effective therapeutic instrument against colorectal ischemic necrosis following surgical reconstruction of the abdominal aorta.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
