Title: Footwear contact dermatitis in children. Author: Roul S, Ducombs G, Leaute-Labreze C, Labbe L, Taïeb A. Journal: Contact Dermatitis; 1996 Dec; 35(6):334-6. PubMed ID: 9118627. Abstract: 8 children aged 1 to 13 years, clinically suspected of having contact dermatitis due to footwear, have been studied in our Paediatric Dermatology Unit from January 1980 to September 1995. Patch tests have been performed with the European standard series and with constituents of the patients' own shoes. In our study, patients appeared to be predominantly sensitive to rubber chemicals.
