    Abstract:
    Emphysematous pyelonephritis is an unusual and serious infection, associated with the formation of gas by choliphormi bacteria. The authors present a case of monolateral emphysematous pyelonephritis in an obese and diabetic patient, put under observation and treated successfully through percutaneous drainage and antibiotic therapy.
