  • Title: [The effect of morphine and pentazocine on thrombocyte functional activity].
Author: Ignatov IuD, Petrishchev NN, Mitreĭkin VF.
Journal: Eksp Klin Farmakol; 1997; 60(4):42-5. PubMed ID: 9376757.
    Abstract:
The effect of morphine (0.02 and 0.05 mg/ml) and pentazocine (0.05, 0.1, and 0.2 mg/ml) on blood platelet aggregation induced by thrombin, ADP, and epinephrine was studied. The results of the study provide evidence of the dose-dependent effect of opiates on human and rat blood platelets, and some species characteristics. Certain differences in the intensity of aggregation depending on the content of extracellular Ca2+ ions were disclosed.
