Title: [The characteristics of the air pollution of an industrial region]. Author: Belitskaia EN. Journal: Lik Sprava; 1996; (5-6):74-8. PubMed ID: 9377406. Abstract: A comprehensive hygienic evaluation was done of the ambient air pollution in urban industrial centers of the Dnepropetrovsk Province. Substantiated as priority pollutants were nitrogen dioxide, formaldehyde and benz(a)-pyren. Air pollution was at its greatest in Krivoi Rog and Dneprodzerzhinsk, with the aggregated atmospheric air pollution index being 34,9 and 34,5 respectively. The chief metals in the air were found to be lead, cadmium, manganese and copper. The results obtained served as a scientific justification for a block of ecologohygienic monitoring of the region.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
