Title: Cases of human envenoming caused by Philodryas olfersii and Philodryas patagoniensis (Serpentes: Colubridae). Author: de Araújo ME, dos Santos AC. Journal: Rev Soc Bras Med Trop; 1997; 30(6):517-9. PubMed ID: 9428185. Abstract: The present paper reports two cases of human envenoming by colubrid snakes of Philodryas, considered as not poisonous, showing evidence of the clinical aspects and the evolution of the symptoms of envenoming. The similarity of these cases with those caused by Bothrops suggests a more careful evaluation on the victims considering the medical treatment to be adopted.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
