Title: Angiosarcoma of pericardium. Problems in diagnosis and management. Author: Poole-Wilson PA, Farnsworth A, Braimbridge MV, Pambakian H. Journal: Br Heart J; 1976 Mar; 38(3):240-3. PubMed ID: 944044. Abstract: The clinical histories of two patients with angiosarcoma of the pericardium are described. Both were previously well young men who presented with cardiac tamponade caused by haemorrhagic pericardial effusions. If a pericardiectomy is undertaken for diagnosis, wide excision of the pericardium is recommended. This will provide a large specimen for histological examination and may prevent subsequent development of constriction.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
