PubMed ID: 9493986. Abstract: Infantile digital fibroma is a benign lesion, but it is sometimes a locally aggressive proliferative lesion. After having examined the literature, we analysed 11 cases of infantile digital fibroma among children between 1 to 16 years, with a long-term follow-up (14 years). We had 4 recurrences. Treatment was surgical. The histological diagnosis has required special stains to put in evidence the typical cytoplasmic eosinophil elements. Surgery usually involved excision and grafting. We also discuss therapeutic measures.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
