Abstract: Ectodermal dysplasia is a rare group of inherited disorders, transmitted as an X-linked recessive. Patients with ectodermal dysplasia usually exhibit a fine smooth dry skin, with partial or complete absence of sweat glands. The main dental manifestation is hypodontia, which is of variable severity. Peg shaped teeth and reduced vertical dimension are also frequently present.
