    Abstract:
The results of treatment in 67 patients with associated injuries of the face and other regions of the body are analysed. Sixteen of them died. Their poor state was conditioned not by facial injuries but by traumas of other organs and system of the organism. It is concluded that such patients should be treated not in stomatological but in special traumatological departments for polytraumas. Surgery is first to be performed in the region where the damage is most hazardous. But the first step is to prevent aspiration of blood from the oral cavity into the respiratory tract followed by the fixation of jaw fragments.
