Title: [New aspects in the pathophysiology of bronchial asthma (author's transl)]. Author: Jäger L. Journal: Z Erkr Atmungsorgane; 1976 Mar; 144(3):240-5. PubMed ID: 960766. Abstract: Bronchial asthma is a polyetiological syndrome. Not only different immunological reactions (atopic reactions, immune-complex reaction, cell mediated sensitisation) but also unspecific mechanisms are of importance. Bronchial obstruction becomes manifest with bronchial spasm, edema, and dyscrinia especially in the small airways. Methods are described for diagnosis of small airways obstruction. Inhomogenous bronchial obstruction is of paramount importance for the disturbances of oxygenation.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
