Title: [The use of sodium chloride baths in the treatment of diabetic patients with micro- and macroangiopathies]. Author: Davydova OB, Turova EA, Grishina EV. Journal: Vopr Kurortol Fizioter Lech Fiz Kult; 1998; (5):13-7. PubMed ID: 9889712. Abstract: Patients suffering from insulin-dependent or non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus with micro- and macroangiopathy took sodium chloride baths of diverse concentration (30 and 50 g/l). A control group consisted of patients who had taken "neutral" baths. The response to sodium chloride baths was registered in carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, microcirculation, hemorheology, lower limbs circulation, exercise tolerance. Baths with sodium chloride concentrations 50 g/l have advantages, especially in patients with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
