Initial response to cyclophosphamide was followed by relapse on therapy interruption. After renewed treatment, clinical stabilization was achieved despite progressive stenoses shown by angiography. The patient died of cyclophosphamide-induced myelodysplastic syndrome. Autopsy revealed lack of inflammation, vascular scarring, and amyloid angiopathy.
