    Abstract:
    A simple border movement recorder, which can be constructed from easily available materials, is described. A plotter pen attached to the handle of a lower impression tray is used to make a tracing of mandibular opening and closing and border movements on a piece of paper attached to a hinged plate mounted on a pair of spectacles, gravity holding the paper against the pen. The low cost and ease of use of the device may justify its use in cases where temporomandibular joint dysfunction is suspected.
